Experience three great blues bands

The Revelator Band, Blind Dead McJones and Sonic Pye make up the latest Halifax Blues Experience gig at Arden Road Social Club this Saturday (March 19) from 8pm.

Headliners The Revelator Band - that’s Dusty Doug Jopling, Mr. Christopher ‘Fingers’ Taylor, Capt. Barnaby ‘Doc’ Neale and Pete Gillon - have garnered wonderful reviews wherever they have played including the Hebden Blues Festival in 2014.

Blind Dead McJones was never a fan of being in the spotlight. A true Bluesman in every sense of the word, living a life on the road shrouded in mystery.

One thing we know for sure is he is responsible for bringing together the blues rock behemoth that is The Blind Dead McJones Band.

Sonic Pye, a three piece, guitar, bass and drums outfit are influenced by, among others Bukka White, Johnny Winter, Roy Buchanan, Rory Gallagher, Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Dr. Feelgood, Canned Heat, Muddy Waters.
