This year, with NatWest RugbyForce Weekend postponed in June due to the coronavirus pandemic, volunteers at Halifax were called upon to pitch in and roll up their sleeves to help with upgrades at the club.

Improvements included clearing out the old, disused squash courts in preparation for repair and renovation, and preparing the main pitch and stand for the return of matches.

Extra planning was required to ensure the activity took place safely, following the Government coronavirus guidelines at all times.

Players from across the five senior teams worked hard across two days to get the work done with the Mens, Womens and Mixed Ability sections pulling together as one.

In its 12th year, NatWest RugbyForce is a nationwide programme developed with England Rugby which provides an opportunity for rugby clubs to open their doors to their local communities, team members and volunteers to help make valuable improvements to their clubs.

Halifax RUFC are currently recruiting across all their teams and plan to start a Walking Rugby Team in the next two weeks.
