Thanks to the #PanthersBoost promotion by the club, messages and social media posts were seen more than 100,000 times after being shared across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

“It’s the first time we’ve done something like this and the amount of visibility has far exceeded all expectations” said Lee Kenny, Halifax Panthers Marketing & Media Director. “These organisations are the lifeblood of the town, so any positive exposure we can give benefits us all.”

A club statement said: "The community project comes just a few months after the club's rebrand, which was designed to attract and engage with a new youthful audience to complement the existing fan base.

"Early indications are very positive with Facebook and Twitter reporting average weekly engagement that is double that of the pre-Panther era. Instagram, known for its younger audience has seen even better results with almost five times more people engaging with the club's posts, compared to last year."
