Witton blues for Brighouse
Brighouse Town were beaten 4-1 at Witton Albion in Division One North of the Evo-Stik League last night.
First half goals from Alex Titchiner (20) and Danny Andrews (39) put them on the back foot and when Adam Wilson added a third 10 minutes after half time it was virtually game over.
Ernest Boafo pulled one back on 70 minutes, after a Danny Facey effort had been palmed away to the edge of the box, but Gary Roberts rubbed salt in the visitors’ wounds with Witton’s fourth goal in added time.
Brighouse are eighth in the table with last night’s hosts now immediately below them.
Town, who started the season well but are now without a win in three, entertain lowly Prescot Cables on Monday.
