Ashton Athletic 0-5 Halifax: Fans Panel verdict
Kit Walton
Man of the match
Alex Simmons; he is contributing well, and looks like slotting into the team comfortably.
Moan of the match
The continued failure of Peniket and Burrow to form a meaningful partnership with Denton.

Hide AdDenton’s early goal. It settled the team down, and dispelled any doubts there might have been.
Andrew Mann
Man of the match
Jordan Sinnott looked lively, good passing especially first half and scored by far the pick of the goals.
Moan of the match
Jordan Burrow not scoring, partly down to his own poor finishing and partly down to poor service. Really should have scored at least two which could have really kick started his season.
Moment of the match
Moyo and Macdonald both play short intricate passes down the flank before Jordan Sinnott rifles in a left foot beauty from the edge of the box. 2-0 Shaymen and game over.

Hide AdJordan Sinnott wins this for his overall effort and his long throws. These make throw-ins as dangerous as corners. Brings back memories of Mark Roberts and of course Ryan Toulson.
Moan of the match
After we were comfortable at 4-0 up it would have been good to see some of our talented youngsters such as Khan, Barrow and Baldwin get a little game time to show what they are capable of before we send them out on loan.
Moment of the match
With hardly a minute on the clock Tom Denton scored his first goal for a while. Not only did this get Town off to a great start, it also will have give his confidence a much needed boost.
Rob Brown
Man of the match
Alex Simmonds, worked hard all afternoon and scored a great goal. Great addition to the squad.
