Carole Hampson and Diane Higgins were runaway winners of the 18 hole greensome stableford with 36 points.

Julie Langfield, who is one of the organisers, and Van Whitehill took second place on countback with 33 points.

A field of 132 players was favoured by spring sunshine, apart from the odd shower.

Five of this season’s six scheduled events beat the weather and organisers have been delighted with entries.

The first meeting of the 2016/2017 season will be at Halifax GC on October 26.
