The 29-year-old father-of-two had an undetected heart condition, and Lizzie, of Northowram, has been leading a campaign for rugby clubs to buy heart-starting defibrillators.

Catriona Chadderton, speaking for the Halifax Young Singers, said: “We have chosen that specific charity due to the charity being so close to home.

“Halifax Young Singers also sang alongside Lizzie at the flood appeal event at the Victoria Theatre at the start of 2016 which raised money for the flood victims from Boxing Day.”

The event at the Halifax Road church begins at 7.30pm and entry is free.
