Woman airlifted to hospital after falling in Queensbury

A woman had to be rescued yesterday (Sunday) after slipping on the bank of a stream and falling on her hip.

Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team (CVSRT) was called to help with the incident, at Lane Side, Queensbury, at around 11.40am.

Paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Hazard Area Response Team were already in attendance, along with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service.

CVSRT members put the woman in a vacuum mattress, then on to a stretcher so she could be taken to hopsital by air ambulance.
