Tour De France celebrations in Todmorden draw to a close

Tour De France events at Todmorden are drawing to a close this evening with a film screening - and some special guests.

Using the big 16 metre screen on which hundreds of people basked in the sun to watch the Tour De France television coverage earlier,

Tour De Tod have arranged for the family Disney film Frozen to be screened, to children’s delight.

Meanwhile, Todmorden Market Association welcomed a special guest to draw the grand raffle, which is raising money for epilepsy charity Small Steps - Seize The Day.

Actor Dominic Brunt, who plays Paddy is television’s soap Emmerdale, did the honours along with Mayor of Todmorden Coun Michael Gill, and at the end they were introduced to little Isobel, the young girl who had inspited the traders to raise money for the charity.

The events will bring to a close a successful weekend of events.
