A teenager was rescued after he got stuck in mud on a river bank.

Fire crews from Halifax, Rastrick and Huddersfield were called to Kings Bridge Road, Huddersfield at around 6.15am this morning.

They found a 19-year-old man grabbing on to a tree around four feet away from the water.
