Sun shines for Dodnaze day of fun

The last of the summer sunshine shined down on festival goers at the annual Dodnaze Festival last Sunday (August 31).

Fun n was had by all at the Dodnaze Community Centre, with activities held including the Handmade Samba Band and a Snazzypants hula hooping workshop.

There was also kids’ sports, face-painting, a raffle, a cake stall, hot dogs and drinks.

Josie McCarthy, centre development worker at the Dodnaze community centre, said: “The whole day went really well and we had about 100 people turned up to enjoy the activities during the day. “

The charity event was held after the club was provided with funding to help the club hold more events for children and families in the community.
