Rev Linda and team take giant steps to target as abseil down Halifax church boosts heating appeal
Led by curate Rev Linda Maslen and supported by her boss, the Canon Hilary Barber from Halifax Minster, a bumper £1,000 was raised when they successfully abseiled around 100 feet down St Mark’s Church at Siddal, Halifax.
And that total was matched by the success of the Christas Fair held on the same day last Saturday.

Hide AdBoth events were well supported by visitors and it’s entirely likely, given the church’s highly visible spot, that curious members of the public glimpsed events from a distance and came to take a closer look!
