Police appeal for witnesses following serious assault in Huddersfield.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Huddersfield.

The incident took place at approximately 6.40am on waste ground near Victory Road in Paddock, Huddersfield on Sunday September 28.

It occurred after a 29-year-old man was assaulted by two men who had a pit bull type dog with them

He received serious facial injuries for which he needed hospital treatment

The suspects were described as Asian males, aged in their mid 20’s and of medium build. They are believed to have left the scene in a 5 door hatchback, possibly an Audi or Vauxhall.

DC Shaun Lewis, of Huddersfield CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing regarding the circumstances of what was a serious assault which left the victim with serious facial injuries.

“I would appeal to anyone who has information about the offence or can help officers trace the vehicle believed to be involved to contact Huddersfield CID on 101 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
