"The majority of those booked for vaccinations today will be over the age of 80 and their safety is very important to us. If there is any doubt they should cancel and rearrange their appointment for another time.

"Ahead of today we have worked closely with our partners at Calderdale Council’s Highways Department to ensure that routes to all GP practices in Calderdale, including those that are administering coronavirus vaccinations, are accessible to people and vehicles during this anticipated spell of bad weather.

"Though surrounding streets may be very slippery underfoot due to accumulations snow."
