Man suffers serious head injury in Bradford accident

A 67-year-old was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Bradford.

The Western Area Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team (SRANS) would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident which took place at about 9.45pm on Saturday May 2 on Harrogate Road near the junction with New Line.

It occured after a Toyota Hilux was in collision with a man shortly after it had turned right onto Harrogate Road from New Line.

The man had been crossing Harrogate Road when the collision occured and he suffered a serious head injury.

He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment to injuries which have been described as not life threatening.

PC Matthew Judge of the Western Area SRANS unit, said: “We are appealing for information regarding this incident and would like to speak anyone who saw the collision, the male or the car just before it took place.

“Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact myself at the western area SRANS on 101.”
