Man seriously injured in Leeds road accident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Leeds early today (Wednesday).

At 1.53am police were contacted by the ambulance service who were attending a 19-year-old male pedestrian who had been involved in a collision with a Skodia Octavia car in Burley Street at the junction with Park Lane.

The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. His injuries are serious but are not considered life threatening.
