M62 night closures announced

There could be more M62 misery on the way for some, after Highways England announced planned roadworks for the coming week.

The closures will take place between Tuesday 20 and Friday 23 October, although thankfully they will only be in effect overnight.

Junction 25 of the M62 at Brighouse will be closed between the slip roads for bridges works on Tuesday 20 October.

The eastbound exit slip road at junction 25 will be fully closed overnight for three nights with a single lane between the slip roads from Wednesday 21 October.

The westbound side of the carriageway will be closed between the slip roads at junction 25 for bridges works overnight on Tuesday 20 October.

Between Junction 25 and 26 the eastbound side of the motorway will be reduced to a single lane for technology works overnight for two nights from Tuesday 20 October.

The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and Highways England say drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
