And NiddValley Running Club member Sam Fugill got closer than most, managing to meet and get a photograph with the great man.

Chris Lawrence and Neil Jones, both 42 and of Harrogate, ran in giant shoes, dressed as Shoe Barker, the unofficial sponsor of Cancer Research UK.
Zoe Simpson and Holly Gadd, both 24, from Ripon took part. Zoe said: “We ran for Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of my grandad, John Strothard from Tadcaster.”
Halo Hair and Beauty hairdresser Lauren Hewitt-Dawson completed the run and has so far raised more than £800 for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
