Historic Heptonstall Methodist Church celebrates 250 years this weekend

The church, which is one of the oldest of its kind in the world, has a packed schedule of events to mark the special milestone.

From 2pm today (Saturday), Dr John Hargreaves will deliver a talk at the church and from 7.30pm this evening, visitors can enjoy a concert featuring the Elland Male Voice Choir and members of the Hebden Bridge Brass Band.

Admission to the concert is £8 on the door.

Tomorrow, the church continues its celebrations with a Circuit Service led by the President of the Methodist Conference, the Revd. Kenneth Howcroft, at 3pm.
