Have you seen this man? E-fit released after two robberies and an assault in Brighouse

Detectives in Calderdale have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in connection with two robberies and an assault in Brighouse

The first incident occurred around 11.30am on Monday, October 3, as a 16-year-old boy was walking along Church Lane. He was stopped by an unknown man who threatened him and made demands for his mobile phone and cash.

The second incident occurred a short time later at 11.50 on Commercial Street, when two 16-year-old boys where sat on a wall near to the M and CO store when they were approached by a man. Both were threatened and one assaulted. The boy suffered minor injuries.

A further incident occurred yesterday (Thursday) at around 12.50pm, when two 16-year-old boys were sat on a bench on the canal towpath near to Blakely’s fish and chip shop. They were approached by a man who made threats and searched their rucksacks.

Detective Constable Natasha Wilson of Calderdale CID said; “Whilst no one has been seriously injured, clearly these have been frightening incidents for the victims.

“We are appealing for anyone who has any information about any of the three incidents, or who can help to identify the person in the efit to come forward.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

The suspect is described as white male, aged 18-20 years and approx. 5’10 tall with short dark hair. He is also thought to have a tribal tattoo on the left side of his neck, and wore a dark hooded top with the hood up.
