The Halifax museum was chosen from thousands of National Lottery funded projects to tell its story on prime-time television, ahead of popular shows including Coronation Street, ITV News and This Morning.

Throughout August, those tuning into the channel will see what the museum has achieved with the funding, as part of a new National Lottery ad campaign.

It will show the innovative and hands-on exhibits the money has enabled the museum to create, as well as how it has transformed the former Halifax railway yard into somewhere children can learn through play.

Leigh-Anne Stradeski, Eureka! chief executive said: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share our story with millions of people and thank them for their part in making Eureka! a reality.

“Children and their grown ups come alive as they explore our museum – it’s time out from everyday life. There are not many places where you can climb inside a nose or explore a child-sized town square.

“I hope people will enjoy seeing the difference play makes and will be inspired to come here for a play-date soon.”

“These films are a great way of highlighting the hard work and dedication of staff and volunteers at Lottery-funded projects like Eureka! that make such a difference to people’s lives.”

Since 1994 National Lottery players have raised more than £33 billion for more than 450,000 arts, education, environment, health, heritage, sport and voluntary projects across the UK.

It is hoped the film will further boost visitors to the attraction.
