Grants for flood resilience open to not for profit organisations in Calderdale

The Community Foundation for Calderdale have opened up a Flood Resilience Fund for not-for-profit organisations to minimise flood risk in future.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for flood resilience projects that could include natural flood management, community education, mental health support, capacity building, or advice on managing money; and are also looking for a range of applications for projects that will build resilience in flood risk areas

Steve Duncan, CEO of the Community Foundation for Calderdale explained, “We are keen to fund projects that will strengthen our local community and support organisations in preventing flooding or coping with the aftermath of flooding.

“We especially welcome collaboration on projects that focus provision on where the need is the greatest to achieve a positive outcome.”
