Queens Road police operation sees officers tackle dangerous and irresponsible drivers

A dedicated police operation saw vehicles seized in the Queens Road area of Halifax.

On Wednesday January 6, Operation Hawmill, Calderdale’s partnership road safety operation, focused on the Queens Road area of Halifax.

During the patrol one vehicle was seized for no insurance. Two vehicles were found to have no MOT and two drivers were stopped for not wearing a seatbelt.

Operation Hawmill is funded by the Calderdale Community Safety Partnership.

It focuses on areas of community concern and the fatal four, speeding, driving above the drink or drug limit, using a phone while driving and driving without a seatbelt.
