Pair suffer serious injuries in Mytholmroyd hit-and-run car crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after two people were seriously injured in a hit and run car crash in Mytholmroyd.

The crash happened along Burnley Road on Friday September 25.

At around 8.10pm, a red Skoda Octavia and a black BMW crashed on the stretch of road.

The Skoda had been travelling towards Hebden Bridge, while the the BMW was travelling in the opposite direction.

A man and a woman, both in their 50s, who were in the Skoda, were seriously injured.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.

The driver and an occupant from the BMW made off from the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the occupants of the BMW making off the area to contact police.
