Motorcyclist killed in Oxenhope crash was from Halifax

The 57-year-old motorcyclist who was killed on the road between Hebden Bridge and Oxenhope last Thursday (June 12) has been named by police.

Tony Stevenson, of School Cote Brow, Halifax, died when his Suzuki motorcycle collided with a lamppost on Hebden Bridge Road, Oxenhope, near Keighley,

A number of tributes have been left at the scene.

West Yorkshire Police’s Major Collision Enquiry Team continue to investigate the incident, which happened at 6.20pm, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

They particularly want to speak to the drivers of a small silver saloon car and a small blue sports car seen in the area at the time.
