Man threatening to stab people in Halifax town centre appears in court

A man who was arrested in Halifax town centre after he threatened to stab people has been sentenced at court.

On January 24 2021 police officers from the Halifax Neighbourhood Policing Team were called to a male in the street making threats to stab members of the public and police.

The man was located quickly by officers and was arrested and charged for possession of a bladed article, namely, a six inch kitchen knife.

Aaron Foster, 18, pleaded guilty at court and was committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £128 costs.
