Man arrested over stone slab thefts
Police officers in Hipperholme arrested a 40-year-old man after being caught with Yorkshire Stone slabs in his car.
A member of the public rang in to report a man acting suspiciously on March 23 in Halifax Road, Hipperholme, near to the old Skoda garage.
Officers attended and located the man along with a blue Peugeot vehicle which contained eight large Yorkshire stone slabs.
The man, from Rastrick, was arrested and has since been charged and remanded for the offence of theft.
His vehicle was also seized having been used in the commission of an offence.
