Summer events at Halifax Minster for music lovers
The annual music school gets underway once more and this year will be held on three consecutive Tuesdays, when the Minster’s own musical team joins forces with music specialists.
Tuesday, August 12 will be Percussion Day when children, aged seven to 12, will be able to explore the world of percussion as well as try their hand at making their own musical instruments.

Finally, on Tuesday, August 26, youngsters will be able to enjoy Music Tech Day when they discover how music is produced through technology.
The sessions run from 10am to 3.30pm each week and cost £16 per day or a special cost of £45 for all three. Parents are also invited along.
Minster Assistant Curate, Rev Jonathan Bish said: “Summer music schools have been offered by the Minster for the past few years in co-operation with Calderdale Music Service, and we hope to build on our success once again this year.
