“Small number of positive COVID-19 tests” confirmed at North Halifax Grammar School

North Halifax Grammar School has confirmed there has been a “small number of positive COVID-19 tests” among people at the school.

It has not been confirmed whether staff or students have been affected, or how many.

Andrew Fisher, Principal at the school, said: “Like an increasing number of other schools both locally and nationally, NHGS has been informed of a small number of positive COVID-19 tests among members of the school’s community.

“In all cases, the school has liaised fully with Public Health services and followed all of their recommendations.

“As things stand, and the situation is very fluid and could change at any time, no entire Year Group or “bubble” has had to be asked to self-isolate.

“The school has many control measures in place and Public Health services have indicated that they are fully satisfied by the ways the school has responded to the positive cases.”
