Bed manufacturer Sidhil to launch new product at exhibition

Halifax-based Sidhil, specialists supplying beds, trolleys and other associated furniture for the health sector, is to launch a new product at the forthcoming MEDICA exhibition.

The family owned business, which is one of the main suppliers of hospital beds and cots to the NHS, will launch the ‘Innovative IQ ICU bed’ with X-Ray backrest at the world’s leading trade fair for the medical industry, taking place from November 14 to 17 at the Exhibition Centre and Congress Center in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The bed has been designed around patient safety, clinical needs, infection control and ease of use and aims to meet the increasingly high demands of a modern hospital environment, with split side rails for use in general wards, specialist areas and for high dependent patients, as they help to protect the patient from the risk off falls.

Graham Turner, Sidhil sales and marketing director, said: “Sidhil has an excellent reputation for working closely with our existing international distributors by offering as much support as possible when entering new markets.

“As a result of the weakening pound, oversees customers purchasing from firms in the UK are saving 17 per cent on costs, so it is an extremely attractive time to develop relationships with new international distributors.”
