Katie Hopkins' nemesistakes to comedy stage

December's comedy night at The Works was only accessible to ducks after the heavy rain at Christmas - and organisers are hoping that the only drenching on Saturday, January 30 will be tears of laughters from delighted members of the audience.

Opening the show is Canada’s Bobby Mair who caused an internet storm last year when he appeared on Katie Hopkins’ chat show and donated the appearance fee to some of those on the long list who Katie disapproves of.

“I felt like YouTube’s Robin Hood. I took money from Katie Hopkins and just gave it to everyone she hates,” he said.

lThe comedy night has been organised by Rob Riley who is also behind a comedy gala at the Victoria Theatre on February 8 for those hit by the floods.
