International flavour of comedy Works

Comedy @ The Works returns to its last Saturday of the month slot in November with another mixed bag of the very funniest stand-ups from around the world.

Toronto’s Wes Zaharuk has performed extensively across North America including a stint at at Las Vegas. We think we can safely say Wes is the only comedian in the world to successfully mix Film Noir, vaudeville and power tools into his act.

Joining him is Scottish comedian Mark Nelson with his mix of dark humour, cutting observations and superb one-liners.

His likeable manner on stage belies some of his stronger content, and Nelson often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn’t be laughing at.

As he says: “With my show, there’s no message, no theme, no overarching narrative, it’s just a collection of jokes.”

Splitting them is Phil Paggett and Dave Twentyman is the evening’s compere.

The show starts at 8.30 prompt and tickets are £12.50.
