Making their mindup to go back on tour

More than 30 years after they stormed the charts across the world with a string of hits, Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston - formerly of Bucks Fizz - are back on the road.
Formed to take part in the Eurovision song contest in 1981, the two boy, two girl band struck musical gold with the song ‘Making Your Mind Up’.

Now three of the original trio have teamed up with guest vocalist Bobby McVay to take the music of Bucks Fizz on a 70-date tour, Paradise Regained.

Jay said: As a four-piece, the songs will be heard as they were intended to be heard with four voices rather than three - and the dance routines will have the full effect again.

“We are really looking forward to being on the road again. We truly hope audiences will enjoy hearing the hits once more, together with a few of our lesser known album tracks.”

Bucks Fizz have given recent performances at nostalgia festivals such as Here and Now and Rewind.

The band will be at the City Varieties in Leeds on Saturday, September 5. For tickets tel: 0845 644 1881.
