The new musical ‘Stop the Train’ will call into Todmorden Hippodrome on Saturday, December 12.

Written by former college friends Rick Guard and Phil Rice, the musical is a life-affirming and uplifting comedy - with twists, tension and a love story at its heart.

‘Stop the Train’ is a labour of love for Rick and Phil who cut their teeth as performing musicians and have had hits around the world as songwriters. After five years developing the show - now on a tour of the North West - the two are hoping to make it all the way to the West End.

The show tells the story of a group of workers on a commuter train who have their hopes and dreams stirred by a mysterious passenger. The cast and crew are made up of actors from the region with lighting direction by TONY award-winning Nick Richings, famous for his work on ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’.

The show starts at 7.30pm. For tickets visit
