THREE Crow Nest Park teams are celebrating divisional titles in the Halifax-Huddersfield Union.
The scratch and handicap teams played their last home matches on the same night against the sides lying second.
The scratch team beat Crosland Heath 7-3 to earn a place in the top division for the first time in the club’s relatively short history.
The handicap team beat Marsden 8-0 to complete a fine comeback after losing their opening two games of the season. Martin Henry won six out of six.
The juniors travelled to Elland the following night and secured their first title for a number of years.
The side mentored by past Rabbit Captain Shaun Higgins will progress to the Union semi finals this month.
To cap it all, scratch team player Nathan Scott shot a new amateur course record during the Saturday stableford with a 65, having a birdie on the last.
His stableford score of 44 off a handicap of three still was not enough to win the competition.
Chris Wood, playing off 13, had 47 points with a gross 72.
Club Captain and Scratch Team member Dean Wilson, said:- “After the outstanding success of my Captain’s Day, to then be followed by historic promotions for the Scratch, Handicap and Junior teams as well as Nathan Scott shooting a new course record, it really has been an unforgettable week.”
