A dominant performance from a young Brighouse Rangers Ladies, led by talented half-back Emma Hodgson, saw them hold visitors Hunslet Hawks to just one try.
Playing just days after turning out for Yorkshire against the Army, Hodgson inspired Rangers, bereft of several senior players, to an emphatic victory which saw them run in nine tries five of them converted by Hodgson.
A strong defensive display saw Rangers earn the right to play on the front foot resulting in an expansive game plan masterminded by Hodgson and impressive 16-year-old half back partner Lucy Eastwood.
First to score was Beth Greenwood and she was followed by Carly Crowther with a charge to the line followed by Eastwood with the first of her three tries.
Hunslet scored their only try of the game just before half time through full back Jackie Sedgewick making it 14-4 at the break.
Brighouse burst to life in the second half, first through Beth Neilsen, Eastwood with her second and then Sian Watson.
Greenwood went on to bag a brace before captain and club stalwart Sarah Kennedy burrowed over from a play the ball close to the Hunslet line before Eastwood completed her hat-trick,
Rangers will be hoping to take this form in to their next match at home to an impressive Leigh Miners side on Sunday, September 8.
