Clayton 26 Brighouse Rangers 48: Visitors impress in Clayton victory

Brighouse Rangers travelled to Clayton looking for their 100 per cent start to their Pennine ARL Division Three West season to continue.

Missing several players, Brighouse produced a fine display in beating a strong Clayton side. Jamie Barraclough opened the scoring after fine work from Jordan Sild,, while resolute defending kept Clayton at bay.

Full-back Karl Frankland continued his rich vein of form by scoring the first of four tries.

Brighouse went into the half time break with a 26-10 lead and continued to rack up the points as centre Joe Campbell went over to score in the corner.

Rangers continued to build pressure and they looked the better side throughout the second half and it will take a good side to beat them on this current form.
