TOM Gorringe followed up his double century for Badger Hill with just a single ton.
It was enough to take their winning run to nine and consolidation top position in Section C in the Huddersfield Central League.
After winning the toss Pennistone surprisingly decided to put the table toppers into bat.
Gorringe effortlessly set about building another high score.
Unfortunately he did not getting too much support from his colleagues as the Penistone bowling attack kept taking wickets at regular intervals.
Nick Dare shared a 50-run partnership and Keith Wilson and Richard Poole were the only others to reach double figures as Gorringe cruised to his fourth century of the season.
He eventually fell for 125 as he was chasing runs towards the end and Badger Hill closed on 197 all out in the 42nd over.
In reply, Penistone’s young openers started well taking the score to 45 before Damon Ambler got the breakthrough.
Then there was a batting collapse as Wilson, with the help of a hat-trick and Gary Nicholson wiped out the middle order to leave Penistone at 67 for eight.
There was an excellent ninth wicket partnership of 72 as Badgers took their foot off the gas but the returning Ambler took the key wicket of Hammond in the 35th over and the Gorringe brothers combined to take the last man.
