The Halifax-Huddersfield Alliance’s last event of the season, the showpiece Page Trophy and Roger Heap Cup competitions, have been cancelled.
Organiser Trevor Williams said there had been a poor entry for the event, which had been due to take place at Bradley Park next Tuesday.
Only seven players had wanted to take part in the Page Trophy over 36 holes and 16 in the Roger Heap Cup over 18 holes.
Poor weather led to only seven winter Alliance events taking place in the latest season with the competition planned for Outlane on May 1 also cancelled due to the lack of entries.
Williams thanked those who had entered at Bradley Park and added: “We must hope for better weather next season.”
