Hartshead Moor had a three-wicket Bradford League Division Two victory over struggling Idle after chasing down a target of 127.
Chris Wynd had top scored for Idle with 40 and Simon Curry made 36 so the pair contributed more than half their side’s runs.
Hartshead captain Will Smith captured 3-19 from 9.3 overs, while Simon Richardson took 3-13 from seven overs and George Saville had 2-26 from 12 with six of them maidens.
When it came to knocking off the runs, Sean Raven top scored with 25 and he was backed up by Laurence Brooke, who made 21 as Hartshead remained ninth.
Hartshead’s second team will be finishing their Bradford League season just above the middle order following a narrow nine-run win in a low-scoring game with Idle.
Batting first, the Highmoor Lane side made only 91 in 29.1 overs with Marshall Grieve top scoring with 29 and Andrew Croft making 20.
Samuel Johnson (4-17) and Robert Gibson (2-29) ensured their opponents were never going to run away with the game.
Martin Ellis had some great bowling figures when it came to the Idle reply.
He took 6-12 from 14 overs with eight of them maidens against the bottom club.
Jeff Wind backed him up by recording figures of 1-16 from 15 overs and seven of those were maidens.
Idle batted for a painstaking 41.4 overs in an attempt tried to get across the finishing line but they finished all out for 82.
