Rastrick CC hold their annual senior presentation evening this Saturday.
Cricket chairman Paul Shaw has confirmed they will have Yorkshire CCC’s captain Andrew Gale and his brother-in-law Tim Bresnan in attendance. The White Rose players will be speaking and also taking part in a Q&A session.
Aside from the annual awards, there will also be an auction of sports memorabilia.
Shaw added: “We haven’t sold tickets for the event but will be asking people for a £5 donation on the door on what promises to be a very busy and excellent evening.
“The annual sponsored walk to raise funds for the cricket section takes place on Saturday, November 12, when we hope to have over 60 walkers completing the trip from Hebden Bridge railway station back to the cricket club.
“On the cricket side, talks are underway with a number of old and new players as we look to build a team capable of achieving promotion to the Premiership that we narrowly missed out this year.”
The club’s annual junior presentation evening for their promising and most encouraging section at the club has been arranged for Friday, October 21 from 7pm onwards.
This will cover all of their junior teams.
