BRIGHOUSE Rangers hosted middle of the table side Odsal Sedbergh at Russell Way and had hopes of continuing their unbeaten start to the season.
Rangers start to the game was as good a performance as they have shown this season and within 10 minutes they had opened up an unassailable 18 - 0 lead, with Odsal virtually not touching the ball.
Tries came from Reece Spurr, Karl Frankland and Andy Sagars, all of which were converted by Frankland.
No more points were scored in the first half with Odsal showing signs of improvement.
The second half was a scrappy affair with Rangers having one man spending 10 minutes in the sin bin, Odsal having one player dismissed and two players getting 10 minutes each.
Rangers scored two more tries, one from wingman Phil Bradbury and another from fullback Frankland, converted both.
Odsal scored a late consolation to leave Brighouse celebrating another victory.
Best for Rangers were Steve Wood on his first team debut, Stuart Proctor and Andy Sagars.
Next week Rangers travel to Bankfoot to take on West Bowling ‘A’ and they will be hoping for a sixth consecutive win in the league.
