IT was goals galore as Brighouse Juniors U17s fought out a thrilling 7 - 7 draw in an end-to end game at Shelley U17s.
The Huddersfield team struck first but Brighouse equalised almost immediately through Ashley Johnson. Max Lister then put the away team in front after a great through ball from James Lumb but two minutes Shelley levelled the scores heading the ball beyond Brighouse goalkeeper Ethan Dingley.
A two goal blast on the half hour saw Shelley 4 - 2 up before Lister volleyed his second. Four minutes later Brighouse striker Matty Waller made it 4 – 4 before the home team scored again just before half-time.
Combative Conor Durkin burst into the box and blasted home a Brighouse equaliser early in the second half but Shelley replied almost immediately carving open the away team’s defence for their sixth goal.
Brighouse equalised yet again on 52 minutes through Johnson before a breakaway move saw Shelley get a seventh.
Brighouse piled on the pressure and deservedly levelled the game with a brilliant free kick by Waller which was curled beyond the defensive wall into the top right hand corner of the net.
