OLD Brodleians won the French under-17 festival at RC Arras RUFC near Lille.
The squad of 19 players competed in the two-day festival comprising of 10 teams from England and France.
Brods had a successful day in their pool beating Wirral 10-5 and Medway 5-0 prior to losing to Letchworth 10-0.
On completion of day one the team finished second in their group and were drawn in the semi-final against Bromley who had won their respective group.
Brods started that game dominant in the tight. They opened the scoring when George Sewell touched down near the posts.
The second and final score from Jonathan Lodge put the game beyond doubt.
The win placed them against Letchworth who had beaten them convincingly the day previously.
Brods started in style and dominat in the scrums. From the five metre lineout the forwards drove Luke Cole over to go 5-0 up.
Letchworth levelled but Brods’ Matty Turner got in at the corner to make it 10-5.
In the second half Dan Jeffrey beat the full back to score and make it a 15-5 victory.
