Daniel Rahnavard, 32, coach to the Brighouse Juniors FC Under 7s, has just accepted a role coaching at Everton FC which he will do alongside his coaching responsibilities with the Brighouse Juniors.

Brighouse born and bred, Danny lives with his partner Natalie Smith and their two children.

Danny qualified as a barrister in 2007 and is now a lecturer in Law at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Danny played football for the Brighouse Juniors U10s and played all through the age groups.

The striker played semi-pro football for Bradford Park Avenue, having two seasons with the Vanarama National League North side.

For the past four years, Danny has held his UEFA B Coaching License and last summer when his son Oliver joined the Juniors he also joined the club in a coaching position along with assistant manager Simon Scott.

His eldest son Oliver, an Under-6, is also playing for the Huddersfield Town Academy U7 elite group and is actually playing in an age group up (the Under 7’s) and is also a striker.

Everton have a Development Centre in Halifax, but Danny will be travelling one evening a week and some weekends to Everton’s training ground Finch Farm which is a state-of-the-art facility based in the Knowsley area on Merseyside. It is the training ground for the Everton first team and youth academy.

“This is a fantastic opportunity and one I intend to grab with both hands,” said Danny.

“I am sure my role with Everton will have a positive influence on my role with Brighouse Juniors. I will balance my time equally between the two coaching jobs.”

Brighouse Juniors FC U7s are buzzing after signing up with three high profile local sponsors and one national one. Those sponsors are BUPA, Carl Hopkins’ Faith PR, Taylor and Taylor Hairdressers and Brighouse Mobiles.
