Brighouse Town manager Paul Quinn has a couple of injury concerns ahead of Saturday’s much awaited home game with NCEL Premier Division leaders Scarbrough Athletic (3.00).
Diminutive left-sided full-back or midfielder Leon Henry was taken off at half time during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Thackley with a slight hamstring pull and a groin strainwhile early in the second half striker Ernest Boafo turned an ankle and was replaced by powerhouse striker Craig Thompson.
Both players were having physio this week and chairman Ray McLaughlin is quitely confident they will be fit.
“Thompson came on and really impressed and we were also impressed with stand-in keeper Jordan Porter,” said McLaughlin.
“He pulled off two superb saves in the first half, but I expect Tommy Taylor will be back on Saturday after serving his one match ban.”
The league’s leading goalscorer Tom Matthews, with 39, takes on the Seadogs Ryan Blott on 38.
Blott actually overtook Matthews last week but the Town hotshot bagged a brace at Thackley to pull himself clear again.
Scarbrough on Tuesday night turned out a virtual youth side for their 1-0 League Cup quarter-final win at Long Eaton United.
