Brighouse Town will travel to Witton Albion on Tuesday night boosted by a fine point from a trip to Radcliffe Borough yesterday.
The Hove Edge side’s chances of returning from Lancashire with any reward looked bleak when they trailed 2-0 with 10 men after 35 minutes.
They suffered a double whammy on 19 minutes when Dan Illingworth was give a straight red card and Sam McMahon scored from the resulting penalty.
Thomas Hulme then doubled the lead to put Borough hot on the trail of a third successive win.
However, Danny Facey gave Brighouse hope with a goal two minutes before half, scoring at the back post after great work from Sam Hewitt.
Town battled hard in a second half which featured a rash of yellow cards and grabbed a draw with a goal from Tom Robinson four minutes from time.
Facey knocked the ball over the defence and Robinson lobbed the ‘keeper from 15 yards.
Town are sixth in the Northern Premier League’s first division and Witton are 11th after losing 3-2 at home to Kendal on Saturday.
