IT was another excellent weekend for Eden Warburton in the 50 metre sprints in the Yorkshire Swimming Championships in Sheffield at Ponds Forge.

Again, the Rastrick High School student made all the finals.

She was second in 50m freestyle final by a hundredth of a second.

Then really went for it in the backstroke to win the gold.

She then came seventh in the butterfly final where she just ran out of steam with metres to go.

She was awarded second place in the British Age Group Categories for the overall best swimmer in Yorkshire this season.

She followed this up with a fantastic weekend for Borough of Kirklees Swimming Club where she swam in the 11-12 years age groups teams on Sunday.

They came second to City of Leeds in both finals, holding off City of Sheffield to take silver in both finals.

It was a great effort by Borough of Kirklees, and Eden was really pleased to be awarded second best in Yorkshire this year in her age group.

l BRIGHOUSE Swimming Club is holding its Tadpole Gala tomorrow (Friday) at Brighouse Pool.

The gala will start at 6.30pm, but the committee will be on-site from 6.15pm to organise everyone.
