LAST weekend saw a busy list of events Crow Nest Park Golf Club.
On Friday the club held its fourth annual Pro-Am, which attracted professionals from throughout Yorkshire.
The professionals competition was won by Paul Carmen, of Huddersfield Golf Club, with a fine score of 68 with Robert Wragg runner up with a 69.
Wragg’s Pro-Am team, which was made up of three Crow Nest members, Tom Holmes, Stephen May and Graham Thomas, recorded a team score of 15 under par.
Carmen described Crow Nest as a “hidden gem” of a golf course.
On Sunday the club hosted the local Halifax, Huddersfield and District Union of Golf Clubs Scratch Second Division Championship, which was won by Willow Valley Golf Club with a four man team score of 315.
Queensbury Golf Club were runners-up with a team score of 319.
The individual prize went to Ryburn member Chris Rudd, who shot a gross 72 round a testing Crow Nest Park course, which had excellent greens which proved to be fast and true.
In between the two competitions the club held its own monthly Stableford competition on Saturday, which proved tough for the members with the First Division being won by Martin Thomas with a score of 35 points.
The Second Divison was won by Paul Mason with a score of 39 points.
