STUDENTS said a fond farewell at their sixth form prom at Old Brodleians in Hipperholme.
Around 80 year 13 pupils at Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School danced the night away at their prom organised by two pupils, Jeff Bentley and Beth Fleming.
Music on the night was provided by student Andrew Tordoff who was the DJ for the evening and encouraged pupils to get on their feet and party.
Claire Ridley, who helped to oversee the organising, said they all made an effort. “Most of the lads were wearing ties which is unusual to see them all dressed up but they all looked great,” she said.
“All the students said they had a great time and were all going into Halifax to continue the celebrations. We had a leavers assembly the day before the prom where we handed out joke awards selected by the students themselves.”
The prom king and queen were crowned on the night. They were Danielle Parker and Hamad Faridi.
The students will not see each other now as a year group until they receive their results in August before they all leave for university.
